FAITH

St.Teresa wanted to build an orphonage. At that time, she had only three shilings. But she was not in the least worried. She said to those who rediculed her, "With three shillings, Teresa can do nothing. But with God and three shillings, there is nothing that Teresa cannot do." - By Sadhu Vaswani

In your happy moments, Glorify God!
In your difficult moments, Pray to God!
In your quieter moments, Spend time with God!
In your painful moments, Praise God!
Every moment - Draw closer to God!

RHYTHM

There is Rhythm
in everything
Rhythm in breathing;
in sleeping; in your heart-beat;
in working.
This rhythm is so important
In music, if it goes astray
you hear discordant note.
Never let your rhythm in life
go astray for
this rhythm is an indication
of your well-being;
your strength of virtue
Listen to it always.
Enjoy it always.
It is divine music.

SUCCESS LESSON

When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

Follow the three R's; Respect for Self, Respect for others and Responsibility for all your actions.

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

Spend some time alone every day.

Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.

Live a good honourable life. Then, when you get older and think back, you will be able to enjoy it a second time.

Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

WHAT TO PRAY FOR

Sometimes it so happens that we do not know what to pray for. Most of the times we use the opportunity to ask God for some things we want. Is it possible that we can forget ourselves for some time and pray for others out there who may be in need of it at that time?. I am giving below some of the things we can pray for;

PRAY for those suffering with some disease so that they feel less pain.
PRAY for those handicapped in life
PRAY for the poor who do not have food to eat
PRAY for those helping others so that God can give them more energy
PRAY for those who are ignorant
PRAY for those illiterate
PRAY for those who are carrying a lot of burden
PRAY for those children who are orphaned in life
PRAY for those who have lost their dear ones.
PRAY for those who are suffering in life
PRAY for those who are victims of a catastrophe

The following prayers to humans who may be given opportunity to correct themselves
PRAY for those harbouring malice towards others
PRAY for those inflicting harm on fellow humans
PRAY for those serving only their self-interest

PENDULUM

Life is a pendulum. It oscillates between success and failure. When One has attained success, the fear of failure or losing the success brings him to failure. When one attains failure, the greed for success brings him to success. This is a never ending cycle. Therefore, to be happy, always aim at the center. Remain calm. Be centered in Life. - Swami Sukhabodananda

CONTENTMENT

Contentment is not-
God, What I have is enough. Do not give me more.
Contentment is-
God, What I have presently is what I deserve. Give me the ability to manage my wants within what I have now.

"Do not cry for what you do not have; be happy for what you have".

BASIS OF LIFE

We, the people of Indian society regard Money as the fulcrum of our existence. True, Money is necessary and important, but an overindulgence on it is an excellent recipe for chaos. Instead, Goodness must be the fulcrum of our existence. It is this living which will give us all happiness. Goodness can be manifest in a lot of ways; love, giving, supporting, helping, neatness, empathy are some of them. Build your life around Goodness and Goodness alone. All wealth including money shall follow. Goodness alone can make our life worth living.

TOMORROW

I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today. - William White

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. It comes into us at midnight, very clean. It is perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we have learned something from yesterday. - John Wayne

WISE NOTES

We have our body, mind and intellect as our three equipments of experiences, through which life constantly pulsates. When life is working through the physical body, I perceive the world of objects. When life functions through the mind, the world of feeli ngs, I experience. And when life expresses through my intellect, I comprehend my world of ideas.

An action is noble because of the ideal towards which one strives; in itself an action is neither good nor bad. It is the motive in the heart of man that makes an act either good or bad.

SRI GANESH

Oh, What a waste
of all the television channels
With their cacophony of sounds.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the expenditure on making movies
That teach you only sex and violence.

Oh, what a waste
Of all the school education
Which does not lead to the path of Dharma.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the festivals
Whose spirit is not known to many.

Oh, What a waste
Of having laws
That cannot be applied to a degenerating society.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the ancient scriptures
Which cannot be understood by common men.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the comforts
To people who cannot enjoy them.

Oh, What a waste
of one's whole life
Which is not spent in realising 'Self'.
