CONTENTMENT

Contentment is not-
God, What I have is enough. Do not give me more.
Contentment is-
God, What I have presently is what I deserve. Give me the ability to manage my wants within what I have now.

"Do not cry for what you do not have; be happy for what you have".

BASIS OF LIFE

We, the people of Indian society regard Money as the fulcrum of our existence. True, Money is necessary and important, but an overindulgence on it is an excellent recipe for chaos. Instead, Goodness must be the fulcrum of our existence. It is this living which will give us all happiness. Goodness can be manifest in a lot of ways; love, giving, supporting, helping, neatness, empathy are some of them. Build your life around Goodness and Goodness alone. All wealth including money shall follow. Goodness alone can make our life worth living.

TOMORROW

I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today. - William White

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. It comes into us at midnight, very clean. It is perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we have learned something from yesterday. - John Wayne

WISE NOTES

We have our body, mind and intellect as our three equipments of experiences, through which life constantly pulsates. When life is working through the physical body, I perceive the world of objects. When life functions through the mind, the world of feeli ngs, I experience. And when life expresses through my intellect, I comprehend my world of ideas.

An action is noble because of the ideal towards which one strives; in itself an action is neither good nor bad. It is the motive in the heart of man that makes an act either good or bad.

SRI GANESH

Oh, What a waste
of all the television channels
With their cacophony of sounds.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the expenditure on making movies
That teach you only sex and violence.

Oh, what a waste
Of all the school education
Which does not lead to the path of Dharma.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the festivals
Whose spirit is not known to many.

Oh, What a waste
Of having laws
That cannot be applied to a degenerating society.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the ancient scriptures
Which cannot be understood by common men.

Oh, What a waste
Of all the comforts
To people who cannot enjoy them.

Oh, What a waste
of one's whole life
Which is not spent in realising 'Self'.
